Spring Trend: Coral & Seafoam

It always seems like as soon as I've found my stride with a season's trends, another one starts and it's time to pack away all the clothes I've learned to love. With spring just around the corner and my summer clothes slowly emerging, I've decided to prepare myself this time 'round. Over the next few months I'll be updating SugarSolidTush with some of the top trends for the upcoming season, how to wear them and where to find them.

The first in the Spring Trend series is Coral & Seafoam. Don't be fooled by the nostalgically nautical name, this trend isn't limited to fairy-tale seaside palettes and includes colours like mint, shamrock, apricot and peach.

If this look is too pastel and girly for you, take the look to an edgier place with a bolder palette by looking for richer values of the season's hues. Lighter complexions can play with the saturation of this look while darker skins tend to look better in deeper shades.

For a less intrusive version of the trend, use accessories like bags, shoes and jewellery to partake in the trend pairing them with neutrals like black, white, nude or gray.

With this Neptunian trend playing off the romantic floral palettes of seasons passed, South Africa happens to be prepared with a variety of peachy or minty goodies available at most fashion retailers across the country.  Below is a quick layout with inspiration for the South African consumer.
